Derby Festival yard sale set for June 15-16 | Community Spirit

LOUISVILLE, KY - The Kentucky Derby Festival will hold its 11th annual Yard Sale on Friday and Saturday, June 15 and 16, at the KDF office at 1001 South Third Street in Old Louisville. The sale will run from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday.
Items for sale will include cotton event T-shirts ($3 each or 2 for $5), ASICS Technical Marathon/miniMarathon shirts for $5, past Derby Festival posters for $15, Thunder Over Louisville posters for $2, post cards for $2, glasses and close-out pricing on 2012 Official KDF merchandise.
The Derby Festival Pin Wagon will feature 2012 metal event and balloon pins, as well as plastic pins from 1973-2012. There will also be a Special Pin Room open at the Festival Office with metal event, balloon and corporate pins from 1989 to 2011 available at greatly reduced prices. A special edition Exchange Pin is being offered to collectors in limited quantities for $35.
Three editions of the Christopher Radko holiday ornaments – “A Good Foundation”, “Eight Belles,” and “Fleur-de-Liberty” – will be offered for sale up to 60% off the original retail price. The “Fleur-de-Liberty” ornaments, which are available in limited quantities, were signed by Medal of Honor recipient and 2012 “Thundernator” Sgt. Dakota Meyer.
The event typically attracts large crowds, so patrons are encouraged to come early and pick up some great items at very reasonable prices. Cash and credit cards will be accepted for purchases.
