LOUISVILLE, KY- Although signs of a housing rebound are making headlines nationwide, a development of a different kind is already on solid ground in southwest Jefferson County. For the second year in a row, The Housing Partnership, Inc. and Louisville Gas and Electric Company will present the “Sustainable + Attainable Home Show” to encourage energy-efficient home ownership for families below the median area income, earning less than $32,000 annually.

FRANKFORT, KY – Governor Steve Beshear announced today that the Kentucky Division for Air Quality has awarded Louisville Metro Government $54,000 to reduce diesel emissions from its waste-hauling fleet. The funds were made available through the federal Environmental Protection Agency’s Diesel Emission Reduction Act.
