White van involved in Portland neighborhood abduction attempt | News

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – The search for a white van that has put people on edge in Bardstown and part of the Metro has now moved into the Portland neighborhood.

After walking her children to their bus stop, Bianca Points said she was approached by a man Friday morning in a white van. The person matches the description of a man who has been trying to abduct women from parking lots.

Points said she was in the 200 block of N. 18th Street when a man with shoulder length salt and pepper colored hair approached her in the van and opened the door. Points said she ran home and called 911.      

Points told Metro police there were two other men in the van, but she was not able to describe them.

The man and the van match descriptions from an attempted abduction in the parking lot of a Cracker Barrel in Bardstown and a bank in Fern Creek.
