Police: Man runs off after stolen handgun discovered | News
LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – An assault, a suspect on the run and a brief scare for a government building.
Metro police started the investigation at 29th and Elliott around 10 a.m. Friday.
They said they searched a man who was sleeping on a bench and found a stolen handgun on him. The man took off and jumped a fence in the area.
LMPD said there were reports the man went inside the TARC building at 28th and Broadway.
Police searched the building, but didn't find the man. Anyone with information on this case is asked to call (502) 574-LMPD.
